  • The club was established in 2009 and is administered by a member elected committee.

  • We have about ~50 members including juniors.

  • The junior squad was officially kicked off for the 2012-2013 season.

  • Our big races during the season are the QLD Tri series, Bribie Series, Noosa and Mooloolaba Olympic Distance triathlons, and Kingscliff races.

  • However we support our members in a range of distances and disciplines, including sprint races, olympic, team races, off-road triathlons, half ironman and ironman events.

  • We have athletes who have also competed in the age group World Championships.

  • We think coffee and the social side of triathlon is very important.

  • We aim to have fun when we train and compete.

Off-season

Over the winter months, the focus is on running, cycling and duathlon events. Club members are in training for the City2South and Brisbane Marathon Festival amongst others. Latest updates via the facebook page, or request an event you are keen to train for!

Seasonal awards

WTC presents three awards at the end of every season to the person that embodies the following qualities:

  • Coaches Award - Awarded by the WTC coaches for the athlete who has surpassed expectations for the season

  • Members Award (the Athlete's Athlete) - Awarded by WTC athletes for the athlete who has surpassed expectations for the season

  • Founding Member Award - Awarded by the Club President for the athlete who has embodied the spirit of WTC
